Girls We Hated in High Schoool by Jeffrey Campbell Afner Bag
Another fun bag in the GWHIHS line up is the Jeffrey Campbell Afner. It’s a cool crescent moon shaped bag with tassel pulls, zippers and a long strap for a cross body carry which I love.
The JC Afner hobo comes in a few different color options. You can get the Black Canvas Afner, which has black leather details on a grey black distressed canvas fabric.
The Afner purse has a long strap so you can wear it cross body – it’s also adjustable so you can wear it on the shoulder and shorten the strap as you like. Check out the tassel zipper pull and the cool zipper pocket detail on the front. Afner has a removable inner coin purse. How big is the Afner bag? Here are the measurements: it is 16″ wide x 9″ tall and 3″ depth.
The Jeffrey Campbell Afner also comes in a snake suede pattern. The reptile embossed suede pattern in grey and white really works on this hippie crescent moon shaped bag. The mini coin purse is also in the snakeskin print.
Here are some photos of the bag – a close up so you can see the little mini purse
Do you like the snake python print or the black canvas black fringe Afner?
Here are a few pieces that inspired me when thinking about outfits I’d pair the JC Afner with.
The bag obviously works with tons of outfit options – you can wear it with dresses, with vintage pieces, drapey pieces, jeans, shorts, and so on. This is just a little peek at two different options I like and think look great to wear with Jeffrey Campbell bags focusing on the Afner here of course.
I’m thinking black jeans – these Brigitte Won Hundred Skinny Jeans are pretty nice.
Add a cool tank or t-shirt or blouse – here are two options I like.
Then, add a cardigan or jacket for a chilly night or colder day. I think a leopard cardi is pretty versatile and you could throw it on with lots of outfits and it works with either the snake print Afner or the black one. The abstract silk Arizon kimono by One Teaspoon is stunning and would look terrific with either bag as well. A little motorcycle jacket would be cool too if the weather was cooler.
Now, the icing – a pair of Jeffrey Campbell Booties naturally. I think this new Lita in Engineer stripes would work particularly well with this outfit and with this handbag.
I like the look below with these engineer booties too. Now, here is the second outfit option to wear with the Girls We Hated in High School Afner bag.
And the bag of course
A maxi dress, a fitted jacket, the Afner and a pair of heels.
Start with the dress:
And like a true JC girl, rock the O’Wilde Shoes in either Burgundy Velvet or Black Velvet for a head to toe amazing look.
And of course on the way out, grab your bag and you are ready for a night of looking fabulous and having everything you need in your bag in the most glamorous hands free way possible.
Do you like the Girls We Hated in High School bag line and what do you think of the Jeffrey Campbell Afner in particular?
